Our Day in San Antonio

Another day of vacation fun!  Our San Antonio morning began by eating breakfast at the Guenther House, the elegant home of the Pioneer Flour Mills' founding family.  Afterwards, we headed to the Alamo to tour the buildings.  At that point, our Bushwar branch returned to the hotel to eat lunch and rest a bit before heading to the Children's Museum.  The kids had a blast at the museum!  Everything was interactive, including a trolley car and an airplane that the kids can "drive."  We finished the day by meeting up with an old friend of mine from college, John Davis, his lovely wife Becca, and their three darling boys at the coolest restaurant in town, Big'z Burger Joint.  Dallas needs a place like this.  It's basically a huge barn that serves huge burgers and has a huge fenced-in backyard covered in AstroTurf, so the kids can run free and the parents eat and visit with minimal interruption.  Brilliant!
