Jigs, Pomeranians, and Knights

We took our annual trip to the North Texas Irish Festival tonight, and I think it was the best one yet.  The kiddos pounded the pavement with killer dance moves and wild abandon this year.  We may have kept them out a wee bit late, but the weather was perfect, the food was delicious, and the music was jolly and loud...And where else in Dallas can you see a Pomeranian parading around in a tartan or Medieval knight munching on a giant bag of kettle corn???

Another T-ball Season Begins

Another t-ball season begins.  A new team.  A new coach.  A new glove.  A new bat.  A new hat.  A new uniform.
A new little Longhorn.
Liam still has the same cheerleaders--his sisters--even if they are more interested in eating corn dogs than watching t-ball sometimes.
The team's first scrimmage was on Saturday, and they did great.  It'll be a fun season--GO LONGHORNS!!!

Open House at Sloan

We just got back from Open House at the Sloan School.  We visited this year's teachers and said hi to next year's.  The kids ate cake frosting, showed us their work (including crosses in pictures below), and had fun hanging out with their friends "after hours."  They were so goofy crazy excited.  I just can't believe we'll have a first grade boy and two little pre-k girls in the fall.

Love Fests

On Friday, the kids had Valentine's Parties at school full of sweet treats and friends.
At home we had a little party, too, that included chicken nuggets, a heart-shaped ice-cream cake and little love gifts (and new swimsuits for the girls).
And then it was date night for Mama and Daddy while the kiddos had fun at church with friends.
Valentine's Day was a pretty sweet little day for everyone.
