Picnicing with Planes

We like taking the kids to the Founders' Plaza observatory at DFW airport every now and then for a picnic.  They love watching the planes take-off and land, and I love thinking about future travels with my little family.  Qantas airlines was calling my name...Maybe there will be an Outback adventure sometime in our distant future.  :)

Pre-K Grand Finale

Sloan School's End-of-the-Year Picnic was today, and it was a terrific ending to the best year yet!  Ms. Katie is such a loving, kind, and patient teacher.  Liam was so lucky to be a part of her class this year.  She planned Minute To Win It (Pre-K style) games before the picnic, gave them water blasters, and wrote each student sweet letters.
Liam has made such good friends this year at Sloan.  Here he is with his buddy, Luke.
Liam informed me last week that Rylie is his girlfriend, and they are getting married.  He did give her a marble that he found in the bounce house today, so I guess that makes it official.  Here's a picture of the happy couple.
The girls will be attending Sloan next year, so they got a little sneak-peak today at the picnic.  They love it, too.
And then, a special guest of honor showed up--the Texas Rangers' mascot, Captain!  This boy went crazy with excitement!
There's nothing like having the Texas Rangers' mascot throw you down the bounce house slide!
Thank you, Ms. Katie, for being the best Pre-K teacher around and making learning so much fun!

A Little Past Five and Almost Three

Here are the kids' recent pictures...Liam's Just-Past-Five and Marin and Ellery's Almost-Three.  Considering that we took them to Picture People at the mall at 7:00 on a Friday night after a long, busy week, I was happy with them.  These kiddos are growing up too stinkin' fast for my liking!
