On Thursday, we took a quick jaunt to Houston to celebrate little Miss Avonlea's birthday, and snuck in a side trip to Galveston on Friday because beaches are fun, and there's the best little confectionery and ice cream parlor called La King's on the Strand that should not be missed if one travels within a seventy-five mile radius of Galveston.
The kids didn't have swim suits, so we let them
just go for it in their clothes. I missed the best shot of the day, though... A dripping-wet Liam walking back to the car in his Buzz Lightyear underwear waving an American flag.
There was clearly no shame in his game. That's my boy.
