Second Stop--Belize!

Belize was the second stop on our spring break cruise.  It also happened to be Jon's birthday!  Pretty cool place to spend a birthday, huh?  Our day was packed full of activity with a Belize City tour, a rain forest boat ride on the New River, and a visit to Lamanai, a Maya ruin located in the middle of the jungle.  Since the terrain was rugged and the creatures we may have encountered (snakes, howler monkeys, jaguars, etc.), less than friendly, we decided to let the bravest three--Dad, Debby, and Liam--go on the hiking tour. The rest of us stayed with the babies at the ruins closest to the river.  We did hear the screams of the monkeys, and that was close enough for us!

The New River Boat Ride...
Somewhere on the New River in  Belize, a little pink flip flop floats.  Always full of shenanigans, Marin decided to toss one overboard.

What does Ellery see?

A monkey!

On the lookout.  We saw a couple of crocodiles, but they were too fast for my camera shots.

The Ruins of Lamanai...

Jon found a "swing."
