As part of the events leading up to Easter, our church had people in the congregation participate in creating Resurrection art. For the past few weeks, Jon worked on his, and tonight we had a chance to see all the pieces on display. It was really pretty neat. There were all sorts of mediums from people of all different ages and backgrounds. Jon painted, sketched, and stitched his, and I think it turned out great!

Weekends = Birthday Party Fun!
Today's birthday party was for Liam's friend, Aaron. It was a perfect day for a birthday party, and all the kids had lots of fun trying to break into the pinyata.

Spring Break
It's hard to believe spring break is almost already over. It's been a nice week--our last true vacation until the end of the year. Here's what we did...
Liam is excited that he gets to see Grandma and Uncle Patrick next month, too.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!!! Jon's birthday was on Monday. Liam and I weren't here for the big day, so we had to celebrate before and after.
Liam, my sister, Debby, and I went to visit my family in Minnesota. Since Debby's expecting a sweet baby girl in June, it'll be her last baby-free trip, and it'll probably be my last trip up north with only one baby. It definitely was Liam's last free trip on a plane. From now on, we'll be buying him a ticket. Anyway, we had a really nice, relaxing time.
One of our first stops was to a candy store...Grandpa makes sure that Liam has his sugar fix when he's in Minnesota.
Liam was so excited to see his Grandpa and Grandma.
Uncle Patrick spent lots of time playing with Liam.

While we were gone, Jon got lots of things done around the house...prepping his studio to become the new nursery, working on the lawn, getting cars fixed, etc. We got back on Wednesday night, and the rest of the week has really flown by. Last night, we went to dinner with Jon's family and had a birthday celebration for Jon. I wish I had remembered my camera. Liam had such a great time playing with his cousins. This morning Liam's friend, Brady, had a birthday party that was really fun, too.
So now we're in the home stretch of the school year. Spring is officially here...ten more weeks to go until the end of the school year. The end is in sight!

Sugar and Spice
Although it's hard to tell from these sonogram pictures, our doctor told us today that Liam is going to have two little sisters! I'll go ahead right now, and admit that my intuition is a little flawed. I felt for sure we were having a boy and a girl. Jon, however, suspected that they were both girls and has been telling me this for weeks. He also said that he is going to have to teach Liam to "man-up" and get ready for the little sisters. My Dad suggested that Liam and Jon form a boy-alliance, since in June (?) they will be outnumbered in the Bushwar household.
Aunt Cindi's Visit
Jon's Aunt Cindi came to visit from Spokane last week. It was fun to see her and snap a few family pictures...
