God Bless Texas

Last Friday our little ladies transformed into little cowpokes to perform their class play, God Bless Texas.  It was completely adorable from beginning to end.  They sang, danced, and  taught the audience important facts about the Lone Star State.  "The capital of Texas is Austin," recited Ellery. Marin soon followed with , "The state flower is the blue bonnet."  Ms. Katie did an amazing job of getting the kiddos ready for the show, and I loved seeing the excitement that our little cowgirls had leading up to the big day.

Skies of Butterflies

Yesterday I was excited to be able to go with my girls on their class field trip to the Texas Discovery Garden, which they've actually referred to as the "Butterfly Field Trip" all year.  We learned all about butterflies, sang a new song, held a cocoon, saw chrysalis, and walked along the butterfly path.

Happy birthday to our fearless leader!  We love you and celebrate you every day of the year for the hand-holding, baseball-cheering, art-making, clothes-folding, salsa-loving, Christ-centered super dad and husband that you are.

Let's Bowl!

Ellery was more interested in striking a pose than getting a strike.
Marin was the bowler that really and truly was the gal to beat.  She was on fire.  I think it's because she kissed the ball before shoving it down the kiddie ramp.
See, she even beat Daddy by three points in this round.
Another one of Ellery cheesing for the camera.
Group hug to celebrate bowling success!

Salute to America

Liam's class play was called Salute to America.  This sweet group of friends sang their hearts out and put on a spectacular all-star performance.  Liam was a patriot soldier and sang a duet towards the end of the show with his friend, Averie.  Mrs. Fields did an amazing job making these 1st graders into little patriotic entertainers.
