Shepherding little hearts is not for the faint of heart. That seems to be the motto around our house the past few weeks. This has been quite the season with our little ladies. Both of them have given us (and Mrs. Hoang) a run for our money. We're definitely having problems with honesty (see above) and confidence and obedience. I keep telling myself,
"Little kids, little problems. Big kids, big problems." These issues seem big in the heat of the moment, but after several days of prayer and thoughtful reflection, these problems do, indeed, seem small. And repairable. And maybe not as earth-shattering as initially believed. So, with biblical parenting, consistency, and by teaming together with Christian teachers, ministers, and mentors, we can hopefully work on the little problems to prevent the big problems that the world will throw their way as they get bigger and bigger. But, in the mean time, getting through the tough stuff does make the little love notes left on the nightstand, Eskimo kisses before bed, and little fingers twirl mama's hair that much sweeter.
