She sure is sweet, loving, and kind, and we were so happy to celebrate Nana's birthday tonight.

Motion in the Ocean

We watched Liam perform in his class play, Motion in the Ocean, today.  It was so cute, and the 2nd graders at Sloan did a fantastic job.  Liam had a solo and totally rocked it.  Jon's cousin, Amanda, and her hubby, Sean, from Montanta were bonus additions to Liam's cheering section.

Brazos Bend

We had a fantastic time in Houston this weekend visiting Debby, Jeff, and the little ladies.  On Saturday morning, we went on a gator hunt at Brazos Bend State Park.  It was a little too chilly and overcast for the alligators to be out, but we did see a baby one in the visitor center and had a nice time hiking around the park.

Two Hops, Two Tops

Marin and Ellery both hopped to the top today in the kinder kingdom, so they deserved something special--a hop to the top party, complete with cake!

NYE Celebrating

More times than not, we opt to have a low-key New Year's Eve with just the five of us.  This year we had a cheese fondue for dinner--next year it'll be chocolate, since the cheese was not a huge hit with my crew.  We played games and watched t.v., as the parents kids struggled to stay awake until the magic hour of midnight.  In the end, Marin's "little rest" around 11:40 led to her ringing in 2016 in the living room on the couch.  The rest of us made it, clinked our sparkling cider at midnight, and shortly thereafter crashed.
