The kids are in the pool A LOT during the summer months. So after dinner, they usually go for an evening swim. When they get out of the water, we take rinsing off to the max. We've kind of rigged up our own little showering system outside with a garden hose. Here's how it works:
1. Separate girls from boy.
2. Subtract swim suits.
3. Add water from the hose, shampoo, soap, and a washcloth.
Viola! No baths during the summer for the Bushwar kids. And because it is all done outside, there is absolutely no mess to clean up afterwards. No puddles on the bathroom floor. No bubbles on the lid of the toilet. No toys to drain of residual water. And it saves water. And we water the grass at the same time. It's a wonderful thing all around. Now that we're at the end of the season, I'm so sad to say good-bye to our summer showers. But on second thought, we do live in Texas, so we'll probably be able to enjoy at least another month of our outdoor baths.
