Father's Day
A belated Happy Father's Day to all those dads out there, especially my wonderful Dad who I was able to spend the day with this year, my amazing husband who loves our children with all his might, my sweet father-in-law, and special grandfather-in-law.
Coming Home
The girls and I were able to leave the hospital on Friday morning. The doctors were set to release us on Thursday morning, but Ellery had a little bout of jaundice, so they decided Friday would probably be better. Although we were only really at Baylor for about three days, it seemed like forever, and we were all happy to be back home.
First Days
Little sister, Ellery Kate.
Big sister, Marin Jane.
Nana and Papa with the girls.
First diaper change for Daddy. Memaw and Poppy came to the hospital around 4:30 am. That's early!
Gracyn and Marin.
Aunt Jenni and Marin.
Liam meeting his baby sister, Marin.
Uncle Patrick and Ellery.
Aunt Jenni and Uncle Jeremy with the twins.
Grandpa and Grandma with the Bushwar grandkids.
Now that we've had a couple of weeks to settle in, I've finally had time to post some pictures of the first few days with the twins. Things are going well. Needless to say, the twins are keeping us pretty busy, and when you throw a feisty two-year-old into the mix, it's never a dull moment.

4 Years
Four years and three babies later, I love Jon more and more each day. And we even managed to get away on our own tonight for dinner and a trip to Target. Happy Anniversary to my Jon.

The Girls Are Here!
Introducing our little ladies...
Here's our first family picture that was taken a few hours after the girls were born. We want to thank everyone for all the prayers, support, and love during this joyous time.
Marin Jane Bushwar and Ellery Kate Bushwar.
Marin was the first one out at 4:39 a.m. and Ellery soon followed at 4:41 a.m. on 6/15/2010.
Marin was 6 lbs, 7oz. and 18 3/4 inches long, and Ellery was 5 lbs., 2 oz. and 18 1/2 inches long. We thank Jesus that both are healthy and neither required a stop in the NICU--pretty common for twins. We're having a little issue with jaundice at the moment, but are hopeful we can all go home together tomorrow. Full birth story soon to follow.

This Weekend
On Friday evening we celebrated our niece, Rylann's, first birthday! It was a sweet party for an adorable little girl.
The kids had fun playing water games outside. The only thing that could draw Liam back inside was birthday cake. Here she is digging into that yummy cake. Happy Birthday, Rylann Claire!

Jon spent lots of time working on the nursery this weekend. He painted the floor, an accent wall, and pretty pink flowers on the floor...more pictures soon to follow on the nursery, but rest assured, it is coming right along. Anyway, it's not like the babies will be here next week or anything like that. Nope, that would be cutting it way too close. Totally not our style.
Liam and Jon also spent some time in the pool, because, well, that's just what you do in
Texas during the summer.
After church and naps today, we decided to be adventurous and take a trip to the mall. Liam rode the train, the carousal, and saw all the "animals" at the Rainforest Cafe.

Here are a couple more pictures of precious Avonlea. Even though she may be keeping her Mommy and Daddy awake during the night, she seems pretty peaceful and content in Grandma's arms during the day.

Baby Avonlea
After a long day at the hospital, Debby and Jeff welcomed Avonlea Grace into the world on Monday at 10:52 pm. She weighed 7 lbs., 3 oz. and was 19 1/4 inches long. Mom and baby are doing great and going home today. We can't wait to meet her! In fact, Liam gave the computer screen a big kiss when he saw a picture of his new cousin. Welcome to the family, Avonlea. We love you!!!

The Pool is Open
Nana and cousin Keaton joined Jon and Liam for the first official swim of the summer. With the heat wave (triple digits) upon us, I think we'll be spending lots of time pool-side this week.
