Green Thumbs

My girls love to get their hands dirty.  And I love letting them.  They are turning into little green thumbs and do a pretty great job helping me plant flowers.

Celebrating Motherhood

Today was a day for celebrating moms...For me that included a special breakfast made my my babies and their Daddy, sweet homemade gifts, calling my amazing Mom sending wishes her way, listening to my 4-years-olds sing a special Mother's Day song in church this morning, a tea party at church the kids, no cooking or cleaning all day, and then having a family dinner at Nana and Papa's house.   It was a pretty spectacular day!

Texas Bluebonnets 2015

These are about a month late, but here are pictures from our annual  Bluebonnet Picture Fest with friends.  Thanks to Rick Smith for taking the best pictures in this batch.

Tea Times Two

Today was Mother's Day Tea Parties at Sloan School, and love and sweetness was completely overflowing for mama.  The first tea party was in Ms. Katie's room with Marin and Ellery.  After enjoying tea and cookies, Ms. Katie read us the story, I Love You Forever, that made the mamas cry. The girls showered me with adorable gifts--a painted flower pot, hand print flowers to go inside, and a sweet picture and questions that they answered about mama.

Next it was time for  Liam's tea party.  I swear that the boy graduated from Cotillion when I wasn't looking because his manners were impeccable.  He escorted me to my seat, helped me with my chair, served me tea, and was at my beck and call the entire time.  Together, sitting across from each other at his desk that was decorated like a table,  we painted a treasure box and shared cookies that he decorated.  In side the box was a sweet fingerprint key chain and little paper jewels where he wrote his favorite things things that we do together.

Today was such a special time with my littles, who are getting bigger and bigger every day.

Field Day

Today was Field Day at Sloan School, and Liam had a blast.  Long-jumps, egg races, hula-hoops, sprints, relay races, frisbee tosses, sack races, and tug-of-war were just some of the events the kids participated in throughout the day.  Liam ended up with five ribbons and a metal (3rd place in entire school) in three-legged race with his buddy, Miles.
