American Girl Cousins

It was a fun Thursday night when Nana took all the girls to eat and shop at American Girls to help celebrate Gracyn's birthday.

With all three kids in choir at church this year, we've heard a whole lot-ta singing of  Christmas carols this year.  We've loved each and every performance.

Advent Tree

There are many ways to observe Advent, so every year I choose a different method to countdown to Christmas.  This year's is super simple--little bags that contain sweet treats and Scripture passages that tell the Christmas story.  I ditched our regular decorations on the tree in the den, added the 24 mini bags, and turned it into an Advent Tree.  So much easier, but just as meaningful as last year.  

Visiting Santa...Twice

This year they all looked forward to a visit with Santa.

In fact, they couldn't get enough of Santa.  Here we are at our second visit, this time at Six Flag's Holiday in the Park.

Bounce's Christmas Knock and Shock

We've had a weekend packed-full of Christmas events, but probably the most exciting happening for our kids occurred tonight when the Bounce team from church did a flash mob-style decorating act on our front porch while Jon and I were getting them ready for bed.  Just as we finished prayers, we heard a knock, and when we opened the door, the kids couldn't believe their eyes.  Tinsel.  Jumbo ornaments,  Stockings.  A duct tape tree.  Special treats.  Thank you Bounce superstars for making tonight so special and memorable for our kiddos.
