We celebrated Avonlea's 3rd birthday on Saturday at Houston's First Baptist church play area with a pretty butterfly party.  Such a happy day to celebrate such a sweet, special little gal!

Ruby Anniversary

Today my parents celebrate 40 years of marriage.  They raised us in a loud, adventurous, kind, encouraging, supportive, laughter-filled, loving Christian home.  I couldn't have asked for better parents; it was so special to be able to spend the day with them today.  Happy 40th Anniversary, Mom and Dad.  We love you!

Hello Again!

The school year is done, and summer is officially ready to start around here.  Hooray!!!

June Forecast: Busy With a Chance of Overbooked

June is always pretty full, but this year it's bursting at the seams.  Fasten up your seat belts, hold on tight, and be ready to fall asleep quickly each night little Bushwars.  IT IS ON.

Tourney Time

 The Cubs did an awesome job this weekend in their very first tournament.  They ended up playing five games over the two days.  These little guys played their hearts out.  The first place team beat us in game five, and the Cubs placed third overall out of fifteen teams.  Not too shabby.  And the Cub's first loss was softened because they knew that afterwards it was splash park and grilling time. WAY TO GO, CUBS!

Picnicing with Planes

We like taking the kids to the Founders' Plaza observatory at DFW airport every now and then for a picnic.  They love watching the planes take-off and land, and I love thinking about future travels with my little family.  Qantas airlines was calling my name...Maybe there will be an Outback adventure sometime in our distant future.  :)

Memorial Day Memories

A relaxing Memorial Day ended with a fun time with Smiths...and charred hot dogs...and wet children...and happy memories.
