Sloan School's End-of-the-Year Picnic was today, and it was a terrific ending to the best year yet! Ms. Katie is such a loving, kind, and patient teacher. Liam was so lucky to be a part of her class this year. She planned Minute To Win It (Pre-K style) games before the picnic, gave them water blasters, and wrote each student sweet letters.
Liam has made such good friends this year at Sloan. Here he is with his buddy, Luke.
Liam informed me last week that Rylie is his girlfriend, and they are getting married. He did give her a marble that he found in the bounce house today, so I guess that makes it official. Here's a picture of the happy couple.
The girls will be attending Sloan next year, so they got a little sneak-peak today at the picnic. They love it, too.
And then, a special guest of honor showed up--the Texas Rangers' mascot, Captain! This boy went crazy with excitement!
There's nothing like having the Texas Rangers' mascot throw you down the bounce house slide!
Thank you, Ms. Katie, for being the best Pre-K teacher around and making learning so much fun!

A Little Past Five and Almost Three
Here are the kids' recent pictures...Liam's Just-Past-Five and Marin and Ellery's Almost-Three. Considering that we took them to Picture People at the mall at 7:00 on a Friday night after a long, busy week, I was happy with them. These kiddos are growing up too stinkin' fast for my liking!

Flower Power
Love how these two baby girls can rock the flower power headband! They do love their accessories. :)

Rangers Sleepover
On Saturday night, Liam and Jon had sweet World Series dreams under the stars at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. They started their night by taking a tour of the stadium. Next, they watched the Ranger/Astros game on the big screen and then followed-up with a viewing of The Sandlot as they drifted off to sleep in their sleeping bags in the outfield. An extra bonus was that they ran into Liam's friend, Leo, from his t-ball team. The boys had fun tossing the "ball" (i.e. a rolled-up socks, since baseballs were officially not allowed). It was a perfectly dry, warm night, so Jon and Liam slept just fine, and they both came home on Sunday morning saying that they want to go again next year. Here are some of pictures Jon texted me throughout the night:

Happy Mothering
So thankful for my amazing and magnificent Mom today,
Remembering the strong heritage of love, kindness, and wisdom of my grandmothers,
And praying that I can live up to that legacy with my own little ones.
Happy Mother's Day!

A Party for Mama
On Friday Liam invited me to a tea party at Sloan for Mother's Day.
We decorated cupcakes.
The kiddos presented their favorite things about their moms.
And then they presented those Mamas with pretty pots that the kids painted, along with dirt, seeds, and a gardening tool.
We planted mine together that afternoon.
Such sweet little times with my Pre-K boy.
