Stink Eye

Our Ellery has a little trick to let people know that she's opposed to something or someone telling her to do something she doesn't like.  We affectionately call it her STINK EYE.  It goes a little something like this:

The Last Weekend in July

Birthday party-going (Chuck E. Cheese and Bounce U all in one day!), staying cool in the pool, and watching the Summer Olympics pretty much sums up our little weekend.

Lil' Rascals

A couple of months ago we had a photo shoot with Miriam Hurtado. I refer that particular session as "Lil' Rascals." The kids were full of energy and wouldn't sit still for two seconds, a little ornery, and there was just a lot of bouncing, running, jumping, laying down, and huge sighs from Mama and Daddy.  Oh, and Marin apparently has a fondness for eating trees as you can see in this picture. 

Anyway, Miriam did get a few good shots of Liam, after just turning four, and the girls, just about to turn two.  No easy task for any photographer with this crew!

Not Just a Trip to the Mall

We started today with a trip to The Shops at Willow Bend for the kids to play in the kids zone and Mama to shop while Daddy played golf with Papa, but we were in for a BIG surprise--The Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey circus was at the mall!  They brought clowns, circus acts (no lions and elephants, though), balloons, face painting, and lots of cotton candy!  Love these fun little outings that the summer brings. 

Minnesota Summer Staples

We've  been back in Texas for a week now, so I guess it's time to wrap up all these posts about our time in Minnesota.  I'll end with this.  Here are all the things we can count on when we're in the MN in the summer:
