Summer Mornings

Is there anyone else out there besides these three who thinks Klyde Warren is the best park in Dallas?
Playing in the water fountain is always more fun when you're wearing clothes instead of bathing suits!
Then, after a quick change in the car, we headed to our new favorite specialty popsicle place, Steel City Pops.
Chocolate for Marin, lime for Liam, and strawberry cream for Ellery.
Eat quickly, kids, before they melt!

Nine years ago today, we said "I do."  I love him more and more every year.

Day Trippin' to Bear Country

Last week, we decided to hit the highway for a day trip to Waco.  After picking up our Waco buddy, Mike, we headed to campus in search of our brick  by the new stadium.  The kids found it right on the Bear Walk.  After lunch at Ninfas, we headed back to campus for a stop in the bookstore and to see the bears.  Unfortunately, the bears appeared to be in hibernation, but we did spot something more illusive than the bears--water in the creek flowing through campus.  Guess all our rain really is paying off!  We couldn't head home, though, without a quick stop at Magnolia Market, for all you Fixer Upper fans out there.

Great Dads

Dads are so great!  I sure do love and appreciate my own Dad.  Being his daughter is such an honor and blessing.  His grandbabies think he hung the moon and are always ready for the next adventure with Grandpa.
And then there is the Daddy who leads our family and loves us so well.  Thank you, Jon Bushwar, for constantly giving of yourself to others and setting an example of a tender-hearted, servant-leader for our babies to follow.  WE LOVE YOU!!!
To celebrate, we went to see Inside Out this afternoon.  So cute.  Everyone loved it!

All Geared Up

Who is that little dude sporting all that catcher's gear?
It's Liam Bushwar playing catcher in last weekend's tournament.
The Defenders won two games and lost two games in the tournament and finished 4th overall in 7U.  Even though the baseball season in Texas had been a little water-logged this spring, the boys have had a great time practicing and playing when they could.  They have the absolute best coaches and are a sweet group of boys.  We are thankful that Liam is a part of this awesome team.
