This Week...

This week...
On Thursday, Ms. Katie sent home a happy note in Liam's binder.  Getting little messages like this from Liam's teacher makes us so proud and a little sad at the same time.  How is it possible that our little baby boy is already starting to read sentences???  He loves learning and his brain is abuzz with numbers and letters right now.

Grandma gave the kids Christmas magnets for the refrigerator, and they have been a having fun building the snowman and decorating the little tree all week long.
Christmas decorating has been slow-going around here this week, but we should be done tomorrow.  Here's Liam trimming the kids' tree in the den.  This one is made for little hands to touch, rearrange, mess up, and fix.  My hope is that they'll leave the main tree in the living room alone, since they have this one.  We'll see how that successful that plan is.  :)
When we're in Minnesota, Liam and Grandpa are always going on their own adventures.  They're the very best of buddies.  Most of these outings include ice cream, candy, video arcades, and toys.  Last Friday, on our last day in Owatonna, Liam brought home this remote-control car that Grandpa bought him when they were out running around, and he can't stop playing with it.  In fact, he even brought it to show-and-tell today.  We may go broke buying batteries for the thing.

Did anybody else watch Sophia The First on the Disney channel a week or so ago?  Marin and Ellery (and maybe even their mama) loved it and are definitely in a princess stage right now.  The Disney app has it available to watch, so they've been busy being and watching princesses.
And tonight Mama and Daddy had a date (no little boy or or girls included).  We went to dinner and then Christmas shopping for our littles.  We do this every year together, and it's always so much fun!

Only three more weeks until another nice, long break.  That makes this little girl (and the rest of her family) pretty excited.
Happy Weekend!!!

Snowflakes

On Thanksgiving night, just after we finished our turkey dinner, coffee, and pie, these magical, fluffy snowflakes arrived to help herald in the holiday season.  The kids ran outside and did their snow dance of joy!

Autumn Day in Texas

These pictures are proof that some days in November actually feel like Fall in Texas.  This week has actually been full of them, and we love it!
